The four standings

How standing changes
- Collector to contributor. Apply on your account page with a text of 20 to 2000 characters. The team decides and you get a mail with the reason. An approved application writes the contributor role; a declined one writes nothing. Decided applications are deleted 24 months later.
- Reviewer and owner. Granted only on the server by the owner, with a command line. There is no button for it, and no application.
- The console. The owner's console acts through a service account that holds the owner role, so a decision made there is the owner's decision.
What the team cannot do
A reviewer cannot publish, take a module back, grant roles, or erase anyone's data. Publishing is the owner's step alone, see Review and publishing.
